Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Canadian Escorts(“we,” “us”) collects, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have under Canadian privacy law — primarily the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and, where applicable, provincial equivalents such as Quebec’s Law 25, Alberta’s PIPA, and British Columbia’s PIPA.
We collect the minimum information needed to run a verified directory. We do not sell personal information. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
1. Information we collect
We collect different categories of information depending on how you use the directory:
- Account information: the email address you sign up with and a one-way hash of your password.
- Public profile information (providers only): the display name, age, photos, languages, contact methods, neighbourhood, and other listing fields you choose to publish.
- Verification records (providers only): identity documentation you submit so we can confirm you are who you say you are and are at least 18. These records are stored privately and are not visible from the public directory.
- Reviews and reports: content you author about providers.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser user-agent string, and basic session metadata, used to keep the site secure and detect abuse.
- Cookies: a small number of strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and the age-gate. No third-party advertising cookies.
2. Why we collect it
We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected:
- To operate the directory, including authenticating accounts and displaying public profiles;
- To verify the identity and age of providers before any profile becomes public;
- To investigate reports of abuse, fraud, or unlawful conduct;
- To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from authorities;
- To improve the security and reliability of the service.
3. How verification records are handled
Verification records are stored separately from the public directory in a private location that is not reachable from the website. They are accessible only to the small group of people responsible for reviewing them. We never display verification records on a profile, share them with other users, or use them for any purpose other than confirming identity and age.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers who operate the underlying infrastructure (hosting, content delivery, DDoS protection). These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Law enforcement or other public authorities, when we are required to do so by a valid Canadian legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm.
- In the event of a sale or reorganization of the business, to the acquiring entity, subject to equivalent privacy commitments.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above:
- Active account data: while the account remains active.
- Closed accounts: public content is removed promptly. Limited records may be retained for a reasonable period to address possible reports, fraud investigations, or legal obligations.
- Verification records: kept for as long as the profile is active, plus a reasonable period to address possible reports; deleted upon valid request, subject to legal-compliance retention.
6. Your rights
Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your account and associated data;
- Withdraw consent for processing (which may require us to close your account);
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or your provincial privacy commissioner.
To exercise any of these rights, use the report form on the site or contact us through the privacy contact channel listed below. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
7. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect the personal information in our possession: encrypted connections, hashed passwords, private storage of verification records, restricted internal access, and logging of administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this obligation seriously and continually improve.
8. International transfers
Our infrastructure may rely on service providers operating outside Canada. Where this is the case, personal information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different privacy laws. We require those providers to apply safeguards consistent with this Policy.
9. Children's data
Canadian Escorts is intended exclusively for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you become aware that a minor has submitted information to us, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the directory after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Policy.
11. Contact
To exercise your rights, ask a privacy question, or report a concern, use the report form on any profile, or the general report link in the site footer.
